Valuation for Sale
We are available during regular business hours or by appointment to give free verbal appraisals.
We are happy to provide estimated values from photos or digital pictures sent via email. Please direct your correspondence to: info@stairgalleries.com. Please provide us with dimensions; details of signatures on paintings and any other valuable information (i.e. provenance).
If items are too large to transport to us, or the size of the collection is too large, we will be pleased to visit you at home. Before the auction we draw up a contract that includes an auction estimate for each item.
Estate Clearances
We are able to clear the entire contents of a property quickly. Items will be offered in the first available sale with some pieces retained for future auctions, as we deem appropriate.
Private Sales
We are glad to facilitate private sales if you do not wish to sell your property at auction. Through our sister company, Stair Restoration, we have established an extensive network of collectors of fine antiques and objects.

Settlement
Settlement is made by check 30 business days after the sale, subject to receipt of payment from the purchaser.
Trucking
We are able to offer you our professional packing and shipping services in Manhattan and the Tri-State area, as well as recommending other reliable shippers to you.
